That men last walked on the moon. Obviously the main reason for the Apollo project was political rather than scientific, but it seems bizarre that by the time people return to the moon, it will have been unvisited for half a century.

Wow! lovely picture!
It is strange... Today I'm not so sure if we did get to land on the moon though... I don't know why. As you say there were more political reasons behind it than perhaps really explore the moon.
It is fascinating though... Travelling through space to get there...
Steerforth,
I just noticed it printed 11 times my comment. I just changed onto beta blogger and it's giving me a hard time posting comments. I'm sorry for the inconvinience. Can you delete them?
(let's hope this one goes through just once...)
Ah, that explains why I'm having trouble leaving comments on your blog.
As far as the moon landings are concerned, I've read enough to be convinced that they're real.
Buzz Aldrin - now in his 70s - recently punched a man who expresed doubts about the moon landings and knocked him to the ground!
By the way, I work with a man who is so obsessed with the Apollo project that he has DVDs of each mission that take place in real time, without any editing. I'm sure they'd be more exciting if the landing had been staged.
Yeah, there are all these conspiracy theories everywhere and one almost never knows what to believe in... I'm still a believer that we went to the moon, though. I guess it's just one of these silly suspicions!
Now, watching Buzz smacking the guy should be interesting! Is it in the DVD?! haha ;)
