Thank God. When I post things like this, there is always a moment of doubt when I wonder if I'm alone in perceiving some deeply unpleasant undertones.
I hadn't noticed the wrong foot aspect; probably because I was distracted by the pained expression on Bambi's face.
The artist must have been having a laugh, surely? It's astounding (and that's not a word I use very often) that this illustration reached the print stage.
