Made me laugh out loud.

I used to go to Toni and Guy but after they insisted on giving my dark brown hair black stripes (to which I foolishly agreed) I thought it was time to end the relationship. That was about 7 years ago now.

I now attend a regular hairdresser -- a little local establishment five minutes walk from home -- and see the same stylist every time I go. She's Arabic and understands that it's not necessary to make small talk about inane subjects, and she also makes a damn fine black coffee. It makes getting my hair cut and coloured a rather pleasant and relaxing experience.kimbofohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01160466897342054963noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32570460.post-82942476673162855222008-05-21T20:33:00.000+00:002008-05-21T20:33:00.000+00:00I heartily recommend "Andy and Marvin" on Fisher S...I heartily recommend "Andy and Marvin" on Fisher Street. Marvin's now retired, I seem to recall, but Andy's still going strong. They've cut my hair the twenty five odd years I lived in Lewes (ie. since birth), and often enough when I come back down south I drop in there again. Now I'm living in the same Edinburgh suburb as Ronnie Corbett (reputedly). Two and a half hours in a 'stylist' chair really is hell!Jo Ashcrofthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12498449344477320495noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32570460.post-30766930251034283702008-05-06T12:10:00.000+00:002008-05-06T12:10:00.000+00:00I have to say that I have dealt with Ronnie Corbet...I have to say that I have dealt with Ronnie Corbett and he is OK, not good, not bad, just OK which really is the best we can hope for sometimes! I have also a few experiences of Jeffrey Archer which won't surprise anyone but I have to say that the last time - which incidentally was the first time I have dealt with him since he was "inside" he was charm personified. I nearly forgave him.jpatsyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10879790303346539005noreply@blogger.com
